CBRE: Cybersecurity firm inks 20,000 sq. ft. in Roseland

A cybersecurity firm is set to move its U.S. headquarters to Roseland, following a 20,000-square-foot office lease announced Monday by CBRE.

The business, Comodo CA, has committed to the space at 5 Becker Farm Road under a lease with Soma Capital Partners and Northlight Capital Partners. The firm will be among the newest tenants at the 118,000-square-foot complex, which the joint venture has upgraded since acquiring in 2016, seeking to capitalize on its location off Interstate 280.

The CBRE team of Daniel F. Casey, first vice president, and Joseph A. Sarno, associate, represented the building owners in the deal. CBRE Senior Vice President Remy deVarenne and Associate Kadeem Goodall-Reid represented the tenant, which provides digital identity solutions for businesses of all sizes.

“Since acquiring the property, Soma and Northlight have worked diligently to make 5 Becker Farm Road into one of the most sought-after, Class A office properties in Roseland, New Jersey,” Casey said in a prepared statement. “The results speak for themselves as both existing tenants and the brokerage community has responded to the new space and building upgrades with great interest and enthusiasm.”

After acquiring 5 Becker Farm Road, the joint venture brought on Accordia Realty Ventures to oversee a series of renovations including lobby renovations, new landscaping with pavers, restroom upgrades and new energy efficient HVAC units, according to a news release. The brokers touted the building’s on-site property management and nearby amenities such as public transportation, daycare facilities and direct access to I-280.

“We are tremendously excited to be setting up the Comodo CA world headquarters at 5 Becker Farm,” said Bill Holtz, CEO of Comodo Ca. “The facility is being equipped for sales, marketing, operations, finance as well as senior executives. The design is expected to improve communications and productivity.”

CBRE also said Monday that law firm Carella, Byrne, Cecchi, Olstein, Brody, & Agnello, PC has renewed its lease at the property. The renewal followed the completion of the capital improvements.
